Summary
Join us over Labor Day Weekend 2018 for camping at Vermont's Molly Stark State Park with visits to two of Vermont's swimming and sunning spots popular with gay men, the Ledges and Rock River (see GO article here). We have reserved site 12 for ourselves. Participants will need to make reservations directly using the RESERVE link at the top of the park webpage. I can help coordinate site sharing as sites can accommodate 6 to 8 people. Molly Stark is a small campground with potable water and coin operated showers.
On Friday evening, we will host a welcome gathering and camp fire at our site. Snacks will be provided, but please bring your own beverages
On Saturday, we will visit Rock River, which is about 16 miles from the campground. Plan to provide breakfast for yourself and pack a lunch to take. We'll carpool as parking is limited. I will coordinate a potluck dinner for Saturday evening for all who wish to participate. We have made one previous visit to Rock River and enjoyed it. The information at the link above is very helpful.
On Sunday, we will visit the Ledges, which is only about 4.5 miles from the campground. Plan to provide breakfast for yourself and pack a lunch to take. We'll carpool as parking is limited. I will coordinate a potluck dinner for Sunday evening for all who wish to participate. This will be our first visit to the Ledges.
If the weather doesn't cooperate, there are some hiking trails at Molly Stark and the adjacent Hogback Mountain Conservation Area. Brattleboro is about 16.5 miles (30 minutes) away and offers some other opportunities as well. I'm told Mount Snow has great mountain biking and is less than 30 minutes away although I'm not a mountain biker so I can't personally attest to that. While we are planning on the swimming and sunning spots, all should feel welcome to join us camping and try out other adventures.
There is a Shaw's Supermarket about 3 miles west of the campground should you forget any essentials.
Directions To Trailhead Parking Lot

From Brattleboro:
Take Exit #2 off I-91, then continue 15 miles west on VT Route 9.
After you check in, drop by site 12 and introduce yourselves.
