Summary

The Ovens Mouth Preserve is a 146-acre parcel of scenic shoreline bordered by swift tidal water, quiet coves and salt marshes. The preserve and trails include the east and middle peninsulas of Ovens Mouth.  Our hike will start at Ovens Mouth East.  We will then cross over the foot bridge to Ovens Mouth West.  From the west we will make a loop ending back at the foot bridge.  We will finish the loop back to the parking lot on the East.   Total hike is approximately 5.5 miles.   The East and West trails are easy/moderate (the trails on the West peninsula are a abit more strenuous than on the East).   The hike should take us approximately 3 hours.  Please join the group for lunch after the hike at a local eatery of our choosing.

See the link below for more details (note:   the driving directions in this link are if you start at Boothbay Center).
