Summary

On account of bad conditions last weekend, we had to cancel this hike, and re-schedule it for today.  The itinerary will be the same, as we will be hiking the Beaver Brook Trail and spotting cars to return via the Benton Trail, for a total of 8 miles.  Since we are spotting cars, we need to all be at the trailhead at 9:00 in order to drive over to the Benton Trailhead to leave a car for the return.

Bring a windbreaker and warm clothes for the summit, which is an extensive alpine zone, and thus exposed to the elements.  Also bring plenty of water (two liters is recommended), lunch and snacks.

Rain will cancel this event.

Directions To Trailhead Parking Lot

Directions to the Beaver Brook Trailhead:  From I-93, take exit 32, and go west on Rt. 112.  After the traffic light in Woodstock, Rt. 112 is called the Lost River Road.  Go approximately six miles after the traffic light, and you will see the paved parking lot of the trailhead on your left at Kinsman Notch.
