Summary
We are planning a "backpacking without the backpack". August 6-11
Limited to 5 guys maximum. If interested, please respond BEFORE JUNE 30TH.

Details:
1. We will be backpacking (without a backpack) for 5 days in the High Sierra mountains near Bishop, CA-August 7 early morning and coming out on the afternoon of August 11.
2. We will have an outfitter carry all of our items to/from our backcountry campsite. You can bring up to 70 pounds of items.
3. We will enjoy 5 days in the backcountry wilderness where we can do day hikes, enjoy the beautiful scenery, etc.
4. Due to the limited backcountry permits, we MUST know if you are interested by June 30 at the latest. Contact John (wehojohn) and note on the subject line "backpacking without the backpack"
5. The cost will be $400 (we will collect $400 when booking). This cost is for the outfitter and not the trip leaders. This cost includes the mules that will take your items such as food and personal items. The outfitter will also provide camp stoves, some tents and other items. Check with John for a detailed listing when booking
6. You must be in reasonably good shape as we will be hiking 10 miles in on August 7 over 12000 foot Mono pass-one of the most beautiful areas in the Sierra and is near Yosemite. (And of course hiking out on August 11)

8. By using the outfitter, you can bring items you could normally never bring on a backpack, so we plan to have a great time in the wilderness. Join us.

Meet at the Bishop Visitor Center, 690 North Main Street, Bishop, CA 93514 or we can arrange carpools from Los Angeles to the Bishop area trailhead and pack station
