Two GOers and a co-worker of Dan's met on this beautiful morning at Trailside Museum. There were lots of people out. We hiked up to the 612 foot summit of Big Blue. We headed right up Elliot Tower and were almost alone for about 5 minutes to snap the picture. We did the summit loop and headed down the Sky Line Trail. This hike off the summit is a little treacherous but even Dan made it without falling! After a brief stop near the State Police barracks, we walked the easy fire road back over to to the the Trail Side Museum. It was almost 4 miles total. I am always surprised and thankful for this reservation right in Boston’s backyard. It offers so much to so many. The 3 of us grabbed lunch at Blue Hill Grill and I was home in time to get some gardening done. Friends of Blue Hill.org is a great organization committed to keeping the Blue Hill reservation green space.
