    • About me: : Married gay male, liquor store owner (maybe transitioning to something else soon). I'm 5'10", 185#, brown hair, short gray beard, white (English/Scottish/Irish mostly), no religion. Enjoy good wine, but almost never willing to carry it on the trail. In the hostel, that's a different matter altogether. Like to eat well no matter where I am.
    • Favorite Places: : -- Willmore Wilderness Park -- Bighorn Backcountry -- Most anywhere in Jasper or Banff that are not overrun with summer hordes
    • Outdoor Experience: : I'm pretty experienced backpacker, tend to take a steady but constant pace without a lot of stops. Never interested in speed. I love the views as much as anything, but enjoy even more the peace and solitude of the backcountry. These means that long hikes through the forest and grassy meadows are as enjoyable as ascending the high passes.
