SUMMARY: This is not a mistake -- this is the SECOND WEEKEND at Fish Creek Pond -- considered the finest and most attractive of all the Adirondack campgrounds, Fish Creek Pond Campground offers a natural sand shoreline and water access for most campsites. The pristine rivers and ponds are accessible to both motorized and non-motorized boats. There is also great hiking nearby. Come for the day or stay for the whole weekend. You can camp, paddle, walk or hike. I’ll be out on the water paddleboarding all three days and will teach ANOTHER introduction to paddleboarding on Saturday. Can't make the weekend? Come during the week! I am camping out at Fish Creek Pond from June 2 - June 14 @ Site 296! Bring your own gear or a SUP/canoe/kayak if you prefer. Rentals may be available — call ahead to confirm. Geography: Fish Creek Pond Campground is located in Adirondack Park. Recreation: Various canoe routes and boating opportunities exist; the waters are popular parts of the Adirondack canoe routes. Major species in Fish Creek, Square, and Rollins Ponds are black bass, northern pike, and pan fish. Upper Saranac Lake offers these species, plus lake trout and landlocked salmon. Black and Whey Ponds have brook and rainbow trout. Many miles of trails begin right from the campground, with an abundance of other hiking possibilities nearby. Two of the most popular are the Otter Hollow Loop and Floodwood Loop. Facilities: The campground has campsites, a picnic area, a beach, a playground, restrooms, a shower building, a trailer dumping station, a boat launch, hiking trails, summer recreation activities, and volleyball and basketball areas.
