SUMMARY:
Located on the Gale River Road (FR 92) off of Rte. 3 in Twin Mountain. Gale River Road is unplowed in winter. There are some brook crossings, so hikers should be prepared to get their feet wet. Stop at the Galehead Hut to rest and enjoy the views! The first 3.5 miles of the hike are a steady climb before the grade gets steeper pushing towards the summit.
