SUMMARY:
Join us for a relaxed afternoon hike at Loop Trail – Horse Hill Nature Preserve. This is an easy loop that winds through peaceful woods, past scenic ponds, and alongside beaver dams. One of the highlights is seeing the beautiful white lotus flowers. It’s a great trail if you’re looking for something low-pressure, social, and nature-filled without a major climb. Hike Details: • Distance: 4.3 miles • Elevation Gain: ~272 ft • Difficulty: Easy • Estimated Time: 1.5–2 hours • Trail Type: Loop A few notes: • We’ll be keeping a steady but beginner-friendly pace with minimal long breaks so we can keep the group moving smoothly. • There may be some muddy sections, so sturdy shoes are recommended. • There are additional side trails nearby if people want to explore more afterward. Parking / Meetup Spot: We’ll meet at the parking area on Amherst Road: https://maps.app.goo.gl/JNT8V43RA63C7mDQA As always, assess your own comfort and fitness level before joining, bring water, and come ready for some fresh air and queer community.
