Join us for a scenic morning adventure to South Mountain Lookout Tower at Pawtuckaway State Park. This moderate loop hike takes us through wooded trails, gradual uphill climbs, and along South Ridge before reaching the summit of South Mountain—home to a historic fire lookout tower with stunning 360-degree views of the surrounding landscape. Trail Details: • Distance: 5.1 miles • Elevation Gain: 823 ft • Estimated Time: 2.5–3 hours • Route Type: Loop • Difficulty: Moderate We’ll be maintaining a moderate pace with a few breaks along the way, but hikers should be prepared to keep up with the group. Please take a moment to honestly assess your current fitness level, hiking experience, and comfort with elevation before RSVPing. This trail includes sustained uphill sections and uneven terrain. ???
