Milford, NH

Max # People: 15

Trip Guiding / Event Fee: No, I will not be asking participants for money

Difficulty Level: Moderate

SUMMARY:
The Purgatory Falls Long Loop offers a scenic mix of wooded trails and peaceful creekside paths, with multiple waterfalls along the way. Expect a variety of terrain – from shaded forest sections to rocky stretches – with plenty of opportunities to pause, take in the views, and enjoy quiet moments by the water. Distance & Time: Approximately 3.8 miles, taking about 1.5–2 hours at a moderate pace. Seasonal Conditions: In winter, areas around the falls can become very icy, so traction (like microspikes) may be helpful. What to Expect: Trails may be muddy or snow-covered depending on conditions, so sturdy hiking boots are a must. Bring water, snacks, and consider sunscreen and a hat if needed. Difficulty: This is a moderate hike. Please take a moment to assess whether it’s a good fit for your current fitness level. Parking: The lot is small and fills up quickly. Arriving early will give you the best chance of finding a spot.
