SUMMARY: This is the final Get Fit hike of the 2025 spring hiking season, and what a majestic one it is. This is a big hike, but at 3.9 miles and 1,774’ of elevation gain, it is doable for anyone active throughout the spring. We will do the most common ascent & descent, White Dot Trail up & White Cross down. For those who have not climbed Monadnock before, the views are spectacular. Trekking poles can be helpful for this hike. We can check on trail conditions to see if microspikes will be needed when we go. We will start at 9 am, and this hike will take about four hours. Bring lunch for when we hit the summit. You will need to make a reservation to park a car. The rates increased to $15 a few years ago, but this covers everyone in a vehicle. I recommend finding others who are signed up to go and carpool. The address for the Monadnock State Park Visitor Center is 169 Poole Rd, Jaffrey, NH 03452. I hope you can join us!
