Max # People: 7

Trip Guiding / Event Fee: No, I will not be asking participants for money

SUMMARY:

This will be our second hike to enjoy fall colors in New Hampshire this year.  In addition to the peak of Black Mountain, the scenic Chippewa Trail offers several views during the ascent.

The Chippewa Trail is 1.8 miles long with 1550 feet of elevation gain (about 16% average grade), so trail is somewhat steep but of moderate length.  We will return by the same trail.

This hike is limited to 7 people so that we can practice the recommended social distancing and stay at least 6 feet away from each other.  Please bring a face covering to use while at the trailhead and when passing other hikers.

We’ll eat lunch at the top of Black Mountain, so bring your lunch.  Also bring or wear layers to accommodate fall temperatures.  It’s always important to bring at least 1 liter of water, rain gear, sunscreen, and bug spray.

Rain will cancel.
