Max # People: 7

Trip Guiding / Event Fee: No, I will not be asking participants for money

Difficulty Level: Easy to Moderate

SUMMARY:

Join us for this moderate hike along a short segment of the Appalachian Trail that begins on NH Rt 25 in Glencliff.  This 2.5 mile trail includes a couple hills (total elevation gain 900 feet) before we arrive at scenic Wachipauka Pond, where we will have lunch.  Before or after lunch we will continue on the Wachipauka Pond Trail for 0.3 miles to a viewpoint that overlooks the pond.  We return by the same trail.

This hike is limited to 7 people so that we can practice the recommended social distancing and stay at least 6 feet away from each other.  Please bring a face covering to use while at the trailhead and when passing other hikers.

We’ll eat lunch at the pond, so bring your lunch.  Also bring or wear layers to accommodate late September temperatures.  It’s always important to bring at least 1 liter of water, rain gear, sunscreen, and bug spray.

Rain will cancel.
