SUMMARY: Join us as we journey to Monhegan Island - we explore the numerous trails and scenic spots. The island has a small village as well. In September we will avoid the crowds. We will be staying 2 nights. You can enjoy Monhegan as a day trip experience if you'd like (wonderful boat ride but only 4 hrs on the island till the boat departures). We are holding off on making lodging reservations until we get closer to the date and a better idea of weather, due to the merchants' cancellation policy. Lodging is mostly B&B and cottages. NOTE: Closer to the date we will contact you regarding more details (see our accommodation plans below). You must book your own accommodations & boat trip on and off the island. Check out the link below: Boat to/from Boothbay Harbor: https://www.balmydayscruises.com/ Fed & I are staying at the Trailing Yew - which has a flexible 7 day cancellation policy in case we get bad weather and need to change plans. Driving directions to the location and spot to meet at: We will Meet at Pier 8 in Boothbay Harbor at 9AM (or, depending on where you live, you can choose a different departure port and meet us there). Balmy Days II departs at 9:00 AM. The trip is 1.5 hours long. The return boat departs at 2:45 PM.
