SUMMARY: We will hike Cherry Mountain Trail to Mt Martha (2 miles) and then on to Owls Head (.8 miles). Mt Martha has views of mountains to the west. Owl’s Head is famous for its expansive vista of the Presidential Range. Type of Hike: out & back Hiking Distance: 5.4 miles Hiking Time: 4 Hours (with lunch) Vertical Gain: 1,900 ft. Bring snacks & lunch (lunch is at the summit of Owl’s Head). WE WII PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING ON THIS HIKE.
Driving directions to the location and spot to meet at: DIRECTIONS - from the south - Take Route 93 north to Exit 35 - to stay on Route 3 - At the junction of Route 3 & 302 - head north on Route 3 for 2.1 miles - Right on Route 115 northeast (1.9 miles) There is a parking lot on the right (across from Lennon Road).
