SUMMARY:

No excuses if you've been putting off camping.  Now is the time!  Come join us for the last camping weekend in Shenandoah National Park. I have camping space G205 reserved, which is roomy enough for two vehicles and my camper.  It is close to the camp store for showers, food, firewood and additional parking.  Bathrooms are just a short walk away.

The weather should be great but can be quite chilly (40s to 50s at nights) so bring long sleeve shirts and pants; blankets, and sleeping bags. A Poncho is a good idea, too. Bring quarters for showers ($1.75 for 5.25 minutes) I have extra tents, sleeping bags, and pads if you don't have your own.

The campsite is $20/night divided by the amount of campers.

Located at mile 51.2 of Skyline Drive, Big Meadows Campground is near many of the major facilities and popular hiking trails in the park. Three waterfalls are within walking distance; the Meadow, with its abundant plant growth and wildlife, is close by.

Use google maps or your favorite driving app to get to Big Meadows Campground, probably through Swift Run Gap (Hwy 33) or Thornton Gap (Hwy 211).

Please contact me if you have any questions about how to get there
