SUMMARY: Please join me for a spring ride along this 15 mile section of the Hop Brook Railtrail. We'll meet at a parking area just off I-84 and ride the 15+/- miles to Andover and return for a total ride of 30+ miles. An optional ride on the 4 mile spur to Rockville CT is possible at the end of the main event. Riding surface is packed bluestone dust (not asphalt) so somewhat wider tires are advisable if you have a choice. Please bring helmet and water. Lunch spot will most likely be at a Subway/DD or bring your own.
Driving directions to the location and spot to meet at: From 84W take Exit 63 and turn right onto Deming St/Route 30 which becomes Tolland Turnpike/Routes 30 & 83. From 84E take exit 63 and turn left onto Tolland Turnpike/Routes 30 & 83. Turn right onto Parker St (there's a right-turn-only lane and a sign for Big Y supermarket). At the 2nd traffic light turn left onto Colonial Road and take the next immediate left into the parking lot for Hop Brook RailTrail.
