SUMMARY: Critical Mass Bicycle Ride Please join our Gay Outdoors group. This is a fun bicycle ride giving you the freedom to ride the streets of Los Angeles with thoursands of cyclists without having to stop for signals. The police block off the intersections, and we ride the streets with police escorts. The ride takes a route that covers Downtown, WeHo's Santa Monica Bl., Hollywood Blvd. between Highland and Western Ave, Thaitown, Little Armenia, Mid-Wilshire, Koreatown, East Los Angeles and many other neighborhoods. The ride is approximately 30 miles with a speed around 10 miles per hour. There are always at least two brief stops. STARTING LOCATION AND TIME: Our meeting time is at 7:00PM and the ride starts at 7:29PM. We meet in front of the CLEANERS near the stairs at the rear northeast corner of Wilshire Blvd. and Western Ave. ENDING LOCATION AND TIME: The ride ends around 11:00PM to Midnight at Sunset Blvd. and Western Ave. conveniently near the Metro Red Line Station at Hollywood Blvd. and Western Ave. Note that the starting location and ending location are different! PARKING: Park on a street near Sunset Blvd. and Western Ave. and then take a bus or ride down to Wilshire Blvd. and Western Ave. where the ride starts. DINING AFTER THE RIDE: After the ride or at possibly at 10:30PM before the ride ends we will bike to a local Hollywood restaurant. One possibility is Sanamluang Thai Restaurant at 5170 Hollywood Blvd. at N. Kingsley Dr. which is open late. The restaurant is 4 blocks from the Hollywood Blvd. and Western Ave. Metro Station on the Red. Line. The last Metro Train is around 12:30AM.
