SUMMARY:

We had such a blast at 2009 Telluride Gay Ski Week that we've booked condos ourselves for the 2010 event.  We found Telluride to be a gorgeous setting with preserved old charm and fun new development, a broad expanse and scope of runs, and a really great friendly vibe from everyone we met from all walks of life.  We can't wait to return, and we wanted to share the experience with our friends and fellow ski adventurers.

Telluride Gay Ski Week 2010 runs from February 20 through February 27 (www.telluridegayskiweek.com).  We have booked a block of 2-or-3 bedroom condos at the Cimarron Lodge in Telluride Town (Telluride’s historic base town), arriving on Monday, February 22 and departing on the 28th (Sunday).

Cimarron is located at the base of Coonskin Lift #7—a literal walk out your door and on to the lift ski experience!  We’ve previously stayed at the Lodge: it is modern; has a large communal indoor hot tub, is a couple of blocks to the grocery and liquor store, is within easy walking distance to all of downtown’s shops & restaurants, and is right on Telluride’s free bus loop when you’re walked out.  The Telluride Gondola is also within that easy walking distance (or on the bus loop); it takes you to Telluride Mountain’s upper resort area, Mountain Village.

We are personally coordinating this trip as an informal group; we have no direct association with Telluride Gay Ski Week, nor are we profiting by leading the trip-everyone shares in the group discount, we take the risk of unfilled slots, and the fiscal accounting is open to all.  The rate we’ve secured is $825 per person (2 per room), and includes a 4-day lift pass and transportation to/from the airport (Montrose, CO)— AIR TRAVEL NOT INCLUDED.  A single room supplement is $492 additional.  A 5-day lift pass is $49 additional.  $120 cancellation fee after October 16; non-refundable after December 10 (your own personally-purchased trip cancellation insurance may apply).
