GayOutdoors Is Celebrating Spring

Spring fever is taking hold, you may be yearning to exercise or explore the outdoors.

Well here are two great reasons why GO-ing outdoors is exactly what you need to do!

1. Daylight Savings
Days are getting longer, temperatures are rising and sunsets are becoming more colorful-all perfect for a breath-taking hike. GayOutdoors offers lots of trips for all levels of gay outdoor enthusiasts!

2. Hello, Sunshine
On a perfect spring day, nothing beats taking off your winter jacket and working on your tan while you enjoying your favorite outdoor activity. Spring brings ample sunshine and warm temperatures.

Are you a hiker?  We have lots of hiking trips. From half day, to full day to weekend adventures, GayOutdoors is the perfect place for hiking in the spring!

Instead of doing a gym workout, grab your hiking gear and head out for a more adventurous afternoon.

Have you made plans on what you’ll be doing this spring?

So before you panic about where you are going during this spring, look at our Trips Calendar.

For beginners, explore Loon Lake and Split Rock near Saranac Lake, New York with magnificent scenery. In NH, join us at Lonesome Lake or Welch-Dickey.

Looking for a little bit more time in nature? Spend camping weekends at either Saline Valley Hot Springs [San Diego, CA] soaking in hot springs or at Mt. Blue Campground [Weld, ME] with hiking and kayaking over Memorial Day Weekend.

For those of you looking to give back to the trails, volunteer for our annual trail maintenance at our adopted trail in Waterville Valley, NH, Mt. Osceola. Free lodging and food provided by GO for the entire weekend! No experience needed.

Before you plan your next adventure, browse through our Trips Calendar for beginner hikes, weekend camping trips, volunteer opportunities, half day hikes and full day hikes to find the perfect one for you.

Be prepared! We want to make sure you are ready for your adventure - Check out suggestions of what to wear and what to bring to make sure you enjoy your hike to the fullest!

Don’t forget to bring insect repellent because bugs will start to appear and bring sunscreen to protect your skin since it got pale during the winter months.

Mountain/Road biking anyone? Once the snow is gone, the two wheeling adventure begins! Soon, members will start posting their spring biking trips in our Trips Calendar.

So fight your cabin fever and get out of your house and into the woods and make GayOutdoors your home base. Make new outdoorzy buddies in a safe, comfortable atmosphere!

No matter what you choose, you are sure to have a great time that will leave you wanting to come back for more next spring!

But hurry, our trips are filling up fast and availability is limited, so book now.
