Summary

The hike will be about a 15 mile hike in the Withlacoochee State Forest (Citrus Tract - west of Inverness)..

It is a well defined trail that should be "high and dry". There trail is relatively flat with no elevation gain. I have a nice map of the WSF trails.

The hike will require a shuttle from Holder Mine Campround (on east side of WSF) to Taylor Camp (on the south side of the WSF). We will hike from the trailhead parking near Talyor Camp, north, to Holder Mine Campground.

There may be a small parking fee at Holder Mine Campground (bring $1 bills).

Directions To Trailhead Parking Lot

We will meet at the Panera's Bread in Inverness. which is located at 1082 West Main Street (Also SR 44). About one block west of US 41.

From Tampa, either take US 41 north to Inverness and turn west (left) onto SR 44, or take I-75 north to SR 44 and drive west towards Inverness.

From Orlando, take the Florida Turnpike north to Wildwood and then drive west on SR 44 to Inverness.

From Gainesville, take I-75 south to SR 44 and then drive west on SR 44 to Inverness.
