Summary
This is it! On the 5th and final hike of the GetFit series,
we will be hiking a 4K footer. Not to worry, it is not a
difficult 4K, but it is a good one.
Mount Tom is located in Grafton County in the White Mountain National
Forest. From the summit, there are some great views to the south, west,
and north. The actual summit is fairly void of trees except to the
east.
The hike up from Crawford Depot is absolutely beautiful. There are
several stream crossings with lots of small waterfalls. The trails are
clearly marked and well maintained.
Mount Tom is the northernmost 4000-footer in the Willey Range.
We will have lunch on the summit, and afterwards hikers will
have the option to join me to hike over to tag Mt. Field before heading
down to the trailhead. This is not required as part of
the hike and is only for
those who also want to tag field as it is so close to Mt. Tom.
Rick has already tagged this peak and will lead those who do
not wish to hike the additional 1-2 miles to summit Mt. Field.

I'm planning to continue on to both Mts Field and Willey assuming the weather is nice. I have bagged both peaks before but in the rain..
