Driving directions to the location and spot to meet at:

From the intersection of Rt 3 and Rt 113 in Holderness, NH, take Rt 113 about 5 miles and then make a right onto Pinehurst Rd.  Pinehurst Rd is about 0.5 miles before the parking areas for West Rattlesnake and Mt. Morgan.  If you reach these two parking areas, you have gone to far and missed Pinehurst Rd.   Once on Pinehurst Rd go a little less than a mile and park along the right side of the road right before the "no parking behind these signs" sign for Rockywold and Deephaven camps.

After many depressing days of rain and clouds, and after having had to postpone this hike from the previous weekend, we were treated with a beautiful day to do this hike, with temperatures in the 40s and SUNNY!   We all met at 12:30 at the trailhead on Pinehurst Road, and went up to West Rattlesnake Mountain and then East Rattlesnake Mountain, enjoyng views and some date squares.   We then hiked down and did the loop around 5 finger point, with Wally brave enough to take a SHORT dip in the lake.   Several of us then had dinner at Walters Basin Restaurant in Holderness for more good conversation.    Thanks to everyone that came, it was a great group, great converation, and a great hike!
