...
Driving directions to the location and spot to meet at:

Take Rte 80 either East or West. Take exit for Marshals Creek, Exit 309. Then take Rte 209 North. After you pass DQ and Odd Lots/Fireworks, (just past the Cigarette shop on right and the old abandon pizza place on the left), look for Buttermilk Falls Rd and make a right there. Go up the hill just a short piece and just past Wyndham Building, make a left onto Mt. Nebo Rd. Be careful, it is a country Rd and lots of curves. There is ONE stop sign on this road. Once you pass this stop sign you will soon see a park on your left and will then start to go down the mountain. Immediately after the newer homes on are the rights you will come to Rainbow Mt. Resort. You will see some cabins up on the right and main lodge on the right.

There are several parking lots. A small one immediately on your right and left (after pass newer homes, around blind bend) (these are hard to back out on this curve however when you go home), then a small one across from the main lodge too if you can get a spot there, and also if you go down the hill past the pool there is a large lot on the Right (this lot easiest to get in and out, but have to walk up the hill to the pool/lodge).

Trip Report/Photos

Super day, perfect weather. Took a short hike before lunch around a lake near by Rainbow Mt.  Then hit the pool and chilled the rest of the day, catching up with long time GO members. Many of our core members attended and a couple from way down in Delaware joined us too (thanks guys for coming all the way up to the Poconos to join us.) Great company as always. Will miss summer, but we got a few good trips scheduled or planned for autumn guys!
