Summary

Experience the spectacular landscape of Eastern Long Island on this two-wheeled tour in and beyond the fabled Hamptons. Join our Intermediate moderately-paced ride from East Hampton to Shelter Island, Orient Point, and other beautiful coastal destinations featuring varied topography and scenery. Our route is appx, 42 miles on paved shoulders of secondary roads with some car traffic and modest hills. We will be near coastline, coves, creeks, bay, on a little ferry boat, and by the ocean for much of the time. Some food may be available en route. The Hamptons have attracted artists, writers, and the wealthy for centuries; if you’re not familiar with the picturesque “Eastern End,” this fun and social ride will provide a great introduction.
Please register now and plan to bring your multi-speed bike, LIRR Bike Pass (if needed), spare tube, sunglasses, water bottle, snacks, and whistle/bell. Heavy rain cancels. Please invite a friend and register ASAP; contact leaders Jimmy or Glen for further information about exact meeting place, route, et c.
