Be Prepared: Please be prepared to be self-sufficient. Have your own provisions such as first aid kit, food, water, extra clothing for unplanned weather, etc. Have your EMERGENCY CONTACT SHEET completed and in your backpack; it may save your life, and help reach someone who greatly cares!
Pace: There may be activities when the group is either slower or faster than your current ability. Please know that because this is a group activity, it's hard to accommodate everyone's pace perfectly. Our desire is not to leave anyone, however there have been times when it is in the best interest of all to split up. Please do your part by knowing your own abilities, communicating with the organizer head of time if you would like to start early and have us catch up or fine with finishing on your own.
Summary

Known by locals as the "Tri State Ride" because it goes through the states of Vermont, Massachusetts and New Hampshire, this ride is like riding through a real picture postcard. The ride is moderately hilly. Half way through the ride we will stop in Northfield, MA at an ice cream stand for snacks and an ice cream cone!

Participants should be experienced cyclists and have road bikes, not hybrids or mountain bikes.

This is a 45-mile bike ride and we will be riding at a moderate pace of 14-15 mph. Maps will be provided at the beginning of the ride.

We will meet in Brattleboro, depart at noon and expect to be done by 4:00. Following the ride participants are invited and welcome to come to Frog Meadow B&B for a hot tub and dip in the pond. BYOB & snacks! Rain Date Sunday September 24.

Note that overnight lodging is available at Frog Meadow and *paid* GO Members recieve a 10% courtesy discount. Go to www.frogmeadow.com for details. Note that the 10% "GO Discount" will be applied to your second half payment on checkout.

Driving directions to the location and spot to meet at:

We will meet in Brattleboro at the parking lot at the intersection of Route 30 (AKA Linden Street) and Cedar Street immed north of downtown Brattleboro.

From Interstate 91 (north or south), take Exit 2 and make a left turn on Western Ave (Route 9), proceed appx .3 mile to Cedar Street and make a left turn. Continue to 3rd stop sign which is Linden Street/Route 30. The parking area is directly across route 30  from the intersection.
