Summary

We have reserved a good sized campsite at Ohiopyle state park from Thursday, July 20 to Sunday, July 24. Wanted to open it up to other GO guys as it's a big, relatively private site that allows up to 15 people.

There's a lot to do including biking paths/trails, good white water rafting, a (small) zip lining course, and nice local vistas.  Frank Lloyd Wright's Falling Water is also very nearby and worth seeing if you've never done so.

Ideally, participants need to bring a tent or buddy up with those who do, but we will have a spare if it's needed.  Asking 20.00 to defray site cost and share the cost of raft if you want to white water raft as a group (only if you wanted to join in). There are places to eat locally, but we will have camping stove and gear to cook out. It's a pet-friendly site, so people-friendly, dog-friendly dogs also welcome.

Directions To Trailhead Parking Lot

Ohiopyle state park is in south/southwestern PA off of route 381. We're actually coming from Philadelphia and from that area fastest way is to take the PA turnpike west. We are happy to give suggestions/answer questions, but if you check out the Pennsylvania state park website (http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us) you can get detailed directions to choose the best route from your locale.
