Summary
I am running a butterfly walk at the Trustees' Bullitt Reservation in Ashfield, Massachusetts for the Hilltown Land Trust and thought some of you guys might be interested in the walk. Its Brunch and Butterflies, some muffins and coffee and then a walk in the fields. I know what some of you are thinking, butterflies, really John?! Well, after seeing the Baltimore Checkerspot last year, I was in love! The butterflies at the end of July are spectacular at the Reservation! (Hopefully we'll get more rain! ):
Oh, and if its a hot day, we can head on out to Chapel Brook falls (Another Trustees Reservation about 5 miles away) for a quick swim if you'd like. Bring a swim suit. No dogs on this one please. Rain cancels.
Here’s the Hilltown Land Trust listing:
What does an Eastern Tailed-blue, a Baltimore Checkerspot, and a Red Admiral have in common? Well, they are all incredible butterflies that can be seen at the Trustees’s Bullitt Reservation in July! Join local naturalist and butterfly enthusiast John Body on July 24th at 10:30 at the Bullitt Reservation. We will first view the nature documentary Butterflies of the Bullitt Reservation produced by John and then we will hit the trail in search of our beautiful neighbors. Bring your binoculars and cameras!
