This trip is also posted with Great Outdoors. The cost is $50 per person; with a check paid in advance payable to Great Outdoors. Great Outdoors is Southern California's largest gay-oriented recreational organization. It's a non-profit, volunteer run group. The cost is to cover the campsite. Members will need to contact me to register and pre-pay in advance; space is limited, so I can't have members just showing up and expect to be a part of this trip. I will provide you with my contact info so you can mail me the check. We have 3 adjoining campsites at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park... sites 200, 201, and 202. This is winter camping on the Central Coast. We may encounter wind, rain, and cold nights. Once you contact me, I have a prepared list of items that you should bring.
Big Sur is a 400 mile drive north from Los Angeles, much of it along the scenic, winding, Highway 1. From Los Angeles, drive north on the 101 to San Luis Obispo. Exit the 101 to Highway 1 north and continue to Pfeiffer Big Sur Sate Park. But wait...! You can't just show up; space is limited. Again, you must pre-register.
