About me:
: When I am not earning money as a life coach
and business coach, I am volunteering as
a firefighter / EMT or running obstacle
courses (Tough Mudders and Warrior Dashes).
Ten-day Vipassana Courses, which I do twice each
year, helps keep my head screwed on
straight (balanced and equanimous).
In addition to coaching, my spouse and I run
a Farm with alpacas, sheep, donkeys, chickens, guineafowl and
more! We are an active Workaway and HelpX site (which helps a lot with all the farm work). Plus my spouse and I own a bar /
restaurant / night club in Concord NH. When I have time
from all this other stuff, I focus on writing and already
have a number of books published. Currently
I
am working on a book about the GR20, a
book on Vipassana meditation and a book about good king henry.

Favorite Places:
: Mount Mousilauke, the Allagash Wilderness Waterway,
The Great Smoky Mountains National Park and my
own backyard (we live on 107 acres) top the list of my
favorite outdoor places. My spouse and I have also
spent many days and nights with the Mickey in Orlando,
Florida - so any list of favorite places would not be
complete without acknowledging the Mouse. Lastly,
probably because I am an American history buff,
Williamsburg, Virginia should be included on this list.

Outdoor Experience:
: After solo-hiking the Appalachian Trail in
1987, I landed a job as a 4-season
Outward
Bound Instructor leading trips during all seasons in New England, canoeing courses
in Florida and a series of courses in Oregon.
I have paddled
six 7-10 day trips to the Boundary
Waters in Minnesota
MN and the Allagash Wilderness
Waterway in Maine over the years.
Fast forward to August 2015 when a friend, Compass my
intrepid Jack Russell and I finished the
Long Trail
(Compass even has an official end-to-ender
patch and certificate!). I also hiked
the GR20
(supposedly the toughest hiking
trail in Europe) in September 2015.
