About me:
: Hello everyone!
Ok, a little about me, so here
goes:
I'm 56 years old, 5'7" with a
stocky build. I'm a single non
smoker/drinker. I've been a
member of
the Northeast Ursamen since
1996 and now in my 12th year
as their treasurer.
I'm 8 years out from
having gastric by pass
surgery,and after loosing 180
pounds, I'm making up for lost
time and really enjoy being
active now. I go to my gym
regularly and have made up my
mind
to drop some of my regained
weight
and my goal is now within reach.
I love
the beach,hiking,biking,fishing-
both fresh
and salt water, flea markets,
gardening,
and photography. I've been looking for a
group such
as this for a long time and am
happy
to now be a member of it and
look
forward to participating in the group's
events. I love being able to combine my
love for the outdoors and nature with my
growing passion for photography. Yes, I'm
always the last one in the hiking group
because I'm always stopping to take
pictures, lol.
I live in
Connecticut, in
fact nearby to Sleeping Giant
State
Park. I hold degrees in
horticulture and
business
adminstration/accounting
and am employed by a
university in
their purchasing department. I always have
plenty of room to give someone a ride to an
event if they need one.

Favorite Places:
: Some of my favorite places are:
Provincetown, any beach
anywhere, I
also love the south. I'm looking
for more
new places to become my
favorites.
-
Outdoor Experience:
: My legs are strong, I'd like to do
more
cycling, possible get back to
running
again. I have no problem with
long
hikes and like to take my time,
stopping to take photographs
and just
enjoy myself. I've always wanted
to try
kayaking and even bought a
kayak
rack when I bought my new
truck. I did
try kayaking for the first time last
summer while in P-town, being
in the
second seat. It was tough going
against the currents! But I could
really
see myself enjoying it on a calm
lake.
